My main interest in photography is presently to combine my long experience on forest pathology and photography for obtaining high quality pictures and videos on forest damages caused by alien invasive pathogens.
Pushed by the apparent shortage on high quality photographs and videos on forest damages I plan to travel in Europe, North America, Africa and Australia to document some of the most serious damages caused by alien invasive forest pathogens (and possibly pests). Presently, I am applying for funding to cover the travel expenses.
Visual documentation is essential for attracting public attention to the increasing threat caused by alien invasive forest pathogens to our forests (see more about this topic on my Montesclaros Declaration -page).
For the second, I wished to find time for scanning a selection from my old slides and B&W negatives (including totally ca 20 000 pictures) into digital form.
